Akoya Saltwater Japanese Pearls

Akoya Pearls are salt-water pearls and are cultivated in oysters primarily in Japan and China.  Akoyas are considered the “classic” pearl known for their wonderful luster. Akoyas  are the smallest pearls that are grown. They are white or cream colored, with overtone colors of rose, silver, or cream. Black Akoyas are dyed.
