Blue Topaz and Silver Spiral Earrings

This pair of fossilized ivory and blue topaz spiral drop earrings feature Zealandia’s signature surf detailing in the silver spirals that ascend from faceted blue topaz stones. Reminiscent of the sea and of warm beaches, these carved ivory earrings are showstoppers anywhere you wear them with their graphic shape combinations and fine materials.

The triangle symbolizes unbreakable strength (it is a very strong shape!) and can also symbolize the trinity, or change. Spirals, as some of the oldest symbols known to man, can symbolize evolution, the cosmos, and the rebirth cycle. These earrings, then, are carry a powerful symbiosis of the positive change we all work toward in our lives.

The triangles are hand carved from fossilized mammoth ivory, which has lain in permafrost or the earth for between 10,000 to over 15,000 years. This prized naturally colored material reminds us of a bygone era when the great mammoths still roamed the earth, adding to the ancient mystery these earrings represent.
