Blue sea glass often started as apothecary items. At the turn of the century, many tonics and poisons were dispensed in Deep Cobalt bottles. Bromo Seltzer and Noxema began using cobalt colored glass in the 1940's and 1950's.
Each piece is imbued with a bit of history, a splash of color and the spirit of the sea. The shape and surface of the sea glass is created by the powerful force and rich salinity of the sea. It's just as it was found -- shaped by the ocean waves.
Sea glass is collected by members of The National Sea Glass Association, an organization that governs and protects the integrity of natural sea glass.
