Our sterling silver labyrinth pattern gleams against the oxidized silver path behind it, giving the pendant added depth and form.
The bird in this labyrinth necklace is carved by hand from ancient mammoth tusk ivory, which is over 15,000 years old. This fossilized ivory has lain buried in permafrost or underground for much of its long life where minerals may color it soft cream to caramel colors. Holding a piece of mammoth ivory reminds us of a bygone era and of these great animals who once roamed the earth.
Our mammoth ivory bird clasps a 14kt gold fill leaf in his beak, a symbol of benevolence and generosity, completing this peace bird necklace.
