Our silver and amethyst drop earrings are designed around this deep purple stone that looks especially royal when placed near 14kt gold fill floral accents. Amethyst is the semi-precious stone of calm, balance, and peace—all attributes we tend to associate with the garden and with nature. This pair, like windows into the garden, are created in deep tones that evoke a sunset among the flowers as the day's shadows soften to deep purple.

Our designers selected a mixed metal sterling silver and 14k gold fill treatment for these silver tear drop earrings. They can be worn with either silver or gold toned accessory jewelry to complement their gorgeous mixed metal look. The flowers stand out as a focal point thanks to their rich hue.

The base of each earring is hand carved from fossilized walrus ivory, a prized ancient material that is between 500 and 3,000 years old. For centuries, our walrus ivory has lain buried underground where it accretes its variegated cream to caramel and warm cocoa hues. The fossilized walrus ivory's variegated coloring is part of what makes this organic material so desirable as an accent in carved ivory earrings and fossilized ivory jewelry pieces.

Fossilized walrus ivory is an important cultural and indigenous economic resource for the Native peoples who gather it to carve, sell, and trade. Pair our amethyst and silver tear drop earrings with the coordinating amethyst drop necklace for a complete set!
