"Turtle" Ancient Fossilized Walrus Tusk Ivory Silver Pendant

This turtle pendant features a turtle shell carved from ancient fossilized walrus tusk set in a sterling silver bezel. The silver arms, legs and head of the turtle are curved and nicely polished. The bail is "hidden" behind the head of the turtle and is large enough to be worn on a leather cord.

The pendant measures approximately 1 1/8" tall and 1 1/18" wide.

This pendant comes on an 18" sterling silver 1.1 mm box chain with lobster clasp.

Matching earrings are also available.

Prehistoric fossilized walrus tusk is around 500 to 3,000 years old. It is excavated along the Bering sea coast of Alaska by Eskimo families. The unique colors of this ancient ivory are created by minerals from the soil. This material is legal to carve and own.
