The dragonfly is a symbol of joy & light which is captured artfully in these dragonfly earrings. The segmented bodies of the dragonflies are made from fossilized walrus tusk and paua shell. It's sterling silver wings are accented by 14kt gold fill.
Prehistoric fossilized walrus tusk is around 500 to 3,000 years old. It is excavated along the Bering sea coast of Alaska by Eskimo families. The unique colors of this ancient ivory are created by minerals from the soil. This material is legal to carve and own.
